A great start to my season, at LACMA a fantastic location with so many awesome lines and with a beautiful couple… what more could i ask. We are looking forward to capturing these two tie the knot in June, no doubt it is going to be stunning.

I am so glad that i managed to do a quick maternity shoot for Nancy before this little buba’ arrives. She is due this coming week ! lets hope for mama’s sake she is right on time! This was a short and sweet session, which probably had alot to do with the fact we had two 3 year olds and a 3 month old hanging around.
A little over a year ago, Nancy and i met at our local park where our kids play. I spotted Nancy across the swings, and thinking “she doesnt look like a crazy person” and made my way across to say hello. Nancy probably thinking “whos this crazy person coming to talk to me” (i guess we will never know hehe) Anyways, with our daughters being so close in age it turned out to be perfect. We had a quite a few chats in those beginning days of friendship of when we would be having another baby…… pretty sure we would be waiting awhile. Flash forward today, and here we are with our second daughters just over what will be 3 months apart. Actually come to think about it Lailah + Indie are also around 3 months apart. I cannot wait to meet this new little girl and to capture her and her sister Lailah. I photographed Lailah awhile back, such an amazing little girl! you can see that session here.

Actually I was relieved that I ran into someone “normal” to playdate with. Hahaha! I’m glad we got a chance to meet.
December, you got to love Decembers. This December was crazy for us and wonderful all at the same time. My mother finally made it up for a visit from South Africa, she finally got to meet John and Indie in person! All i can say is thank goodness for skype, else i would not be very connected to my side of the family at all. Anyways my mom and Indie just fell in love, it was so precious to watch. Indie especially loved it when she realized this person called ‘Nana’ also spoilt her rotten. With seeing my mom after so many years, Indies birthday and our due date approaching as well as setting to move (which we thought was happening at the end of January ~ how wrong were we) We managed to put together a little party for Indie, well before her actual birth date. Nova arrived 4 days after Indies birthday! It was not my intention to have a 2 December babies actually i was dreaming of a summer baby where birthday parties are outside and full of sunshine. Good thing we live in Southern California then eh! On Indies birthday party she was happy, all she wanted was a purple butterfly and thats what myself and my mom made for her and she was joined by two of her favorite friends. Her birthday was spent with family and a very pregnant mommy but, we headed out for some super important photos, the first of her and her Nana …. and the first for the start of her BIG #3
Im catching up with things before this wedding season hits for me. I have chosen to start shooting in April for engagements and in May my dates are filling up really nicely for the rest of the year. I am so excited to start shooting again, i am really looking forward to capturing these weddings, getting to know my couples, getting creative and spending more time with adults. I am also super excited to travel up North for quite a few weddings where i get to spend time with family .. and my girls get to spend time with cousins!

Precious in every way! Emma she is absolutely beautiful and you have photographed her perfectly!
It seems the only thing better that one is two. I am totally in love with our baby girls. Seeing them together, i feel more complete than i ever thought i could. At 6 weeks old Nova has already put her print firm within our family and we are enjoying every moment. I am filling with so much gratitude for this beautiful life which is taking shape around me.
